Pick: Vancouver Result: 4:2 Stake: 8/10 Odds: 2.30 Bookmaker: Expekt vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 10, 2006, 19:27
Vancouver are in a MUST win situation. After Edminton lost yesterday the way to the playoffs for Conucks is open and all they need to do is to get the points in the all four games till the end. The morale is high after the victory against Calgari in Saturday where the returned back star Jovanovski made tremendous score in OT and added priceless two points for Conucks. If Vancouver do not show their weakness to allow many power plays they can win this game. The situation is really good as if they win they will tie with the San Jose and next game is a direct match between both teams where the winner will almost 100% assure the play-off spot and the opposite if Vancouver don't win tonight they should say "good bye". So it is all in their hands and I expect to grab the points tonight. All tickets are sold out and the crowd will help as well so high stakes for Conucks to get all they need and I'll take even the victory in the regular time.

Pick: Miami (-7.5) Result: 84:93 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.99 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 09, 2006, 22:55
Orlando are without any chances for the play-offs. They only play for the good of the team and look forward to the next season. After impressive win over Detroit they are going to play a very tough match against the Heat who will play next four games in home where they are doing great job this year. Miami have an impressive home record against the Magic as they are 14 game ATS. Last night match they won after losing with 10 points after the first period but got all they need and beat Washington with 99-86 with an outstanding Shaq. If they keep the form from yesterday nothing good will happen to Orlando. Last game between both teams in Miami ended 107-93 and I expect something similar today. I'm taking 1.99 with medium stakes as the odd is great but sometimes Miami just stop playing without even they know why... I hope this won't happen.

Pick: Over 2.5 Result: 2:1 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 2.35 Bookmaker: Expekt vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 08, 2006, 23:47
Home team Rennes is doing great job last weeks as they are in a seven-game winning streak, one point after the third in League 1 - Lenns. I know playing Over in an Under league is not the best idea but the numbers say the opposite. In last 5 home games for Rennes they have 4 overs and in last 4 games they scored at least 2 goals (Monaco 1-3L, Lens 4-1W, Ajaccio 3-0W, Troyes 2-0W). The same situation with the away team where in last 5 away games they had 4 overs (Marseille 0-0D, Nantes 3-1L, Nancy 0-3W, Monaco 4-1L, Lens 2-1L). In games against teams in the top of the table (Monaco and Lens) they conceded 6 goals in total and in both games scored once. Last week win against Ajaccio (3:1) will give additional motivation to Sochaux to escape the relegation places and if they want to, they need to score goals. Also last 4 years both teams have played a high scoring games in Rennes. It should be an open game and 2.35 is a huge value. This is more statistically based pick but I cannot ignore the numbers here. Anyway I'll place medium stakes as France 1 is not the highest scoring league in the world.

Pick: Betis (0) AH Result: 1:1 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 2.13 Bookmaker: Expekt vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 08, 2006, 09:41
The bookies still count Betis as an underdog against the teams in the bottom of the table but the truth is that they found their real form and have gotten priceless points last few games. The win against their city rivals last week will definitely affect on their morale and I expect to see even better Betis though Dani will miss this game. Tardelli is finally in the squad but he is expected to start on the bench which means that Edu, Joaquin and Robert will lead the attack. Betis still needs vital points to ensure their survival and I believe they will finish the season in the first 10 teams in Primera.
Other team Cadiz showed too much weakness in their defense and conceded 5 goals against Valencia. Despite they scored 3 goals Valencia dominated almost all the time. Goals for Cadiz came from not in play situation. The fact that in almost every match Victor Esparrago uses different tactics make me think that at the end of the season they still don't have their own style of play. In my opinion Cadiz are the second team going back to Seguna (other is Malaga). I think the draw is the best that "los cadistas" can take from this match so this handicap on Betis seems too good for me.

Pick: Ronaldo to score Result: Not registered Stake: 8/10 Odds: 1.90 Bookmaker: Bet365 vCash: Yes
Posted: Apr 08, 2006, 06:25
There is not much to say about Ronaldo. When he is in form he can score at anytime to anyone anywhere. After his winter sleep and a lot of critics from Real fans and Madrid's media for his goalless games Ronaldo is back after he has scored in last 3 matches as the goals against Zaragoza and Barcelona are priceless for his team.
Statistically Real Sociedad conceded 3 times by 2 goals in last 5 away games (other 2 games are with one goal and no goal conceded) From other side Real Madrid are the second best scoring team in primera with 56 goals in 31 games. Raul is really not in his great form, Cassano is on the bench and Robinho is playing more like a winger these days. So all eyes in Ronaldo tonight who is in really good form with 13 goals this year and I expect to score again. High stakes as I think we'll see at least 2 goals for Real in this match.

Pick: Athletic (-0.5) Result: 1:1 Stake: 6/10 Odds: 2.06 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 22, 2006, 05:39
Probable lines up.
Athletic Bibao: Lafuente; Iraola, Prieto, Ustaritz, Amorebieta; Etxeberria, Orbaiz, Gurpegui, Yeste; Aduriz y Urzaiz.
Espanol: Gorka Iraizoz, Zabaleta, Lopo, Pochettino, Jarque, David Garc?a, Costa, De la Pe?±a/Ito, Juanfran/Coro, Jofre y Pandiani.
Here is another derby in the bottom of the table. Athletico are hosting the catulans after their morale is up beating one of the good teams in primera this season - Celta. Actually Bilbao are with two consecutive wins for first time this year and it seems Clemente find the spoil. In fact Athletic do not have any problems with injured players or misses so the team is in full strength and ready for the battle to stay in Primera. Adding the fact in San Mames the teams they are playing against are not feeling too good I see Bilbao as favorite here.
Espanol are about to finish one season which can be define like a "many faces" as they had a lot of good games and more then ever consecutive loses with a high results. Anyway good or not the team from Barcelona will play a final for the Spanish Cup next week and the club is more focused there then in the league and I think it is normal as they are on one step to Europe. Last match Espanol lost in home from Osasuna but the bad news do not end here as they also lost their first choice attackers - Ra??l Tamudo y Luis Garc?a which fact makes Valter Pandiani the only person in the attack who can be really dangerous for Athletic. I cannot say Espanol are the real underdog here but the major absents, the coming final for the Spanish Cup as well as the fact that the last time they won away was against Sociedad before 2 months give me enough reasons to place my money on Bilbao. Fair odds for me and medium plus stakes.

Pick: Cadiz (-0.25) AH Result: 0:0 Stake: 7/10 Odds: 1.75 Bookmaker: Bet365 vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 19, 2006, 11:10
The battle in the bottom of the table starts to be very crucial already as every point is priceless. Both rivals will play tonight in a direct duel where the winner will take a vital 3 points. Despite Cadiz are not very good for taking their win in home I think they are a hot favorite here. Alaves with numerous loses in their first squad should complete the group for this match with players from the B team as all Bodipo, David Coromina, Iosu Sarriegi, Carpintero, Rub?©n Navarro, Bonano (their first choice goalkeeper) and Pape Thiaw are missing this game because of different reasons. Last but not least Cadiz will play in full stadium where the fans will expect nothing more, nothing less but a win. Anyway the host team also has a problem with missing players as Varela and Pavoni are both unavailable tonight. I don't see haw Alaves can win this game but the draw is still possible. However Cadiz seems to be the favorite and this is their best chance for taking some points adding that they have good results against the teams in the bottom of the table like Malaga, Betis, Athletic and of course Alaves they lost only one time (last week against Bilbao). It was a game with a lot of misses in front of the goal and in the end the luck was against them as Athletic scored a late winning goal. This can probably motivate the players more and they should want and go for the win more then ever. I'm with Cadiz as because of the injured Alaves and the full stadium which will help in that very moment for the yellows. Medium-high stakes!

Pick: D Coruna (0) AH Result: 1:2 Stake: 6/10 Odds: 2.10 Bookmaker: Bet365 vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 18, 2006, 09:33
This pick can be described with two words only: motivation and value and key factor for this game is the motivation I think. "Superdepor" need points as their place this season MUST be in Europe. I said must as they celebrate their 100 years since the foundation of the club and after they lost in the "Copa del Rey" they have no other choices except Uefa and Champions places. I expect a very aggressive Deportivo team tonight who will fight (yes fight!) for the win. They are entering in a week when they will face Getafe, Malaga and Real de Madrid and Capparos wants all possible points from these games. Depor are without key player Valeron as well as Tristan but they are still one of the best teams playing away this seasons with only 3 games lost against Barcelona, Atletico and Real Sociedad.
Getafe are already saved and can breath fresh air in the middle of the table after a few very good games last weeks. Just before 3 weeks they was in the relegation places so they are not even thinking for Europe places right now. Their mission was to save the season and it is almost complete.
I see two teams with a very different motivation here and the worst thing can happen (for La Coruna of course) is the draw so a lot of value in this 2.10 which I'm taking with medium plus stakes.

Pick: Barcelona (-1) AH Result: 0:2 Stake: 5/10 Odds: 2.05 Bookmaker: Expekt vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 18, 2006, 02:05
OK I'll start this pick with a question for all of you. Do you really believe Barca will lose two games for one week in Primera this season?
One week rest for the "los cules" and time only for training and motivating for this game. Last news that comes from the club is that The Spanish Football Federation's Appeals Committee has withdrawn the second yellow card shown to Edm?lson against Osasuna, and so the Brazilian will now be able to play against Real Sociedad. Actually I have doubts before this game exactly because of the deffense midfielders crisis in Barca as Motta is also suspended for this game. Belleti and Gabri are also included in the squad so that is a much better picture as 1 day before. In an interview the Barcelona's coach Frank Rijkard said nothing has been won yet and this final months in Primera will be desicive. Well, this shows that in club are not underestimating the last games in the league and they don't feel champions yet although everybody want this to happen. With Dinho in great form these days and Larsson who prove his genius to score goals Barca looks strong enough even with the bad form (well at least not as good as at the start of the season) of Eto'o and the miss of Messi.
For Real Sociedad down near in the bottom of the table this is probably the worst moment for them to host Barcelona. It seems Real returned the hopes after winning away to La coruna but, well, this is La Coruna who are doing really bad at home this season.Looking at the form of the San Sebastian club will see that in last 5 games in home they have only one win against the struggling Mallorca. Gonzalo Arconada said they will playing for a victory but the draw is good enough for them (oh, really?). Anyway I think the draw is a dream here all can happen is a lose. Barca are 3-3-1 in the away games with Real Sociedad and I expect another win tonight and even more... I will go a bit forward and will take the -1 handicap here expecting Barca to beat with at least 2 goals after the really bad lose last week. Medium stakes here.

Pick: Phoenix (-8.5) Result: Not registered Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.99 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 13, 2006, 00:25
With Steve Nash back in the team Suns look hot again as he finished the last game with Minnesotta with 31 points and added 11 assists. Phoenix looks much better then struggling Portland right now and my expectation is for high margin win tonight. Last game between both teams ended 130-85 which says everything for the difference between them. I really don't see who will stop Marion and Nash. Phoenix leads the league in scoring, averaging 107.9 points, while Portland is allowing an average of 101.3 points over its last four games. My look at the NBA this year is that Trailblazers are one of the teams that are disposed for high margin loses so medium stakes for Suns here.

Pick: Over 2.5 Result: 2:1 Stake: 8/10 Odds: 1.85 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Mar 12, 2006, 12:41

Osasuna: Ricardo; Javier Fla?±o, Cu?©llar, Josetxo, Corrales; David L??pez, Pu?±al, Ra??l Garc?a, Delporte; Valdo y Milosevic.
Barcelona: V?ctor Vald?©s; Oleguer, M??rquez, Puyol, Sylvinho, Edm?lson, Deco, Van Bommel o Motta, Giuly o Ezquero, Ronaldinho y Eto'o.
Here it is.. the winner after yesterday scoreless draw between Valencia and Real Madrid. Barcelona feel comfortable on the first place in Primera and looks like nothing can change this fact. Barcelona is with a really high morale after the very important win against Chelsey in Champions League. Messi will miss one month after he injured and many can say this is a big miss but let's take more detailed look. Giuly and Ezquero are waiting for their chance and I believe whoever enter in the starter line up will be hard motivated to show a great form and good play (even expect to score goal). Barca is definitely a difficult team to beat for Osasuna as the team from pamplona has not won in the last 6 years against the Catalans. Both teams are more famous with their attack play as their defence so I expect a really open game with a lot of goals. The truth is that 2 goals for Barca this season are not a big deal and I expect Osasuna to score at home. 1.85 is more then a value here so high stakes and go Barca go!
